With over 10 years of experience in residential real estate, I have the knowledge to make your transition during buying or selling a positive one. Coming from employment in the non-profit field, I use my problem solving skills to make sure I listen to the needs of my clients and work towards achieving their goals, no matter what the obstacles.
Even after switching my career from the non-profit world, I still stay connected by being engaged and volunteering. I have held leadership positions on the boards of Safe Kids Worldwide and Kalamazoo Child Abuse and Neglect council. I continue to stay active in my church, First United Methodist downtown Kalamazoo. My two daughters are active in gymnastics at Kids Gym, Inc. and my son plays trumpet in the Loy Norrix bands. Shelly, my wife, and the whole family enjoy taking advantage of everything the Kalamazoo/Portage area have to offer, whether it be seeing a musical at Miller Auditorium or riding bikes or walking on the Portage Creek Bicentennial Trail.

How did you get started in the business?
I came from a background of both being independently employed and non-profit. Real estate combines both of those by being able to have a little more freedom (be your own boss) and being able to help and assist people.
Why do your customers choose you over your competitors?
My customers typically pick me because of my experience and overall knowledge of the process. I am not a "salesy" person. I listen to what the client wants and give them options on how to make it happen.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my children and their contiued acheivements.
What inspires you?
The experience of live music inpires me. I love to go and listen to bands and solo artists, both lyrical and instrumental.
